Genuine Civility: A Mark of Character

What is Genuine Civility? If you’re like my family they think of it as a foreign phrase or an era lost in time. Civility is simply an honest demeanor of being polite and courteous to every person. Genuine Civility is a pleasant energy which illuminates the space of expression or the space in which we express kindness and courtesy. You feel it when it’s given and received. Such a refreshing attribute when you think about it.

We benefit from acts of consideration and cooperation when Genuine Civility is shown and most importantly when it’s felt. Expressing Genuine Civility can be as simple as a smile, kind words, and assistance when someone needs our help or as complex as advocating for the good of all on the world’s stage.

 

Genuine Civility is a form of social integrity. Being balanced, sound, and complete; a complete you - a Mark of Character™ - it’s extremely contagious when we live it on purpose.
